The New Penn Station

Filed under: New York City by Bill @ 7:04 am

There are plans afoot for a new Penn Station and apparently many Long Island commuters are unaware of what’s in the works.

I didn’t know about this either until I received an email this morning from Kirsten Risko, who is involved in publicizing the project. She writes:

We work with the Municipal Art Society. Over the summer they conducted a survey of commuters at Penn Station and found that a large number of riders were unaware of the plans for a new Penn Station, but did feel that it was important that the public have a voice in the process.

So, in an effort to inform and let commuters have their say, the MAS has launched a new website detailing the project.

If you’re a commuter or one of the many Long Islanders that visit New York City just for fun, I think you’ll find the new Penn Station interesting.
