Barbara, I've done that many times... Another cool weather only cookie (if you can call it that) that I love are the Archway Fruit & Honey Bars. I don't know if they are manufactured all year long, but my supermarket only has them in the winter. Okay, so I’m nuts when it comes to Mallomars, but I will confess that the fries never make home from McDonald’s. So there Bettye, I am somewhat normal.

Oatmeal cookies are another cool weather fav. Thanks for reminding me about those, Lily. I can’t eat them with chips though.

I love cookies in general and mallomars are right up there next to chocolate chip oatmeal, my own recipe, another favorite. I can't believe I have never noticed them absent in summertime! I was probably busy eating ice cream. So yes, I understand completely Bill. I have waited to comfortably savor the cookie after the groceries are put away as well as torn open the box in the car while I was driving home-especially mallomars.
